My fave baby wipes

My favourite baby wipes right now are Jackson Reece Kinder by Nature Herbal baby wipes.  Not only do they smell gorgeous, there are no harmful chemicals in there or synthetic perfumes.  It shocks me to read the ingredient lists on the back of some of the more mainline wipes (including the so called sensitive ones) to discover suspect chemicals in them including PEGs, parabens and perfume.

Ok so organic wipes may cost more but these particular wipes are quite reasonably priced I think (£2 in Tesco, which is the cheapest I have found including a search online).  My only two gripes are that a) you can’t buy multipacks; and b) they are pretty hard to track down on the high street / in the supermarkets.

So here's the background

I am a thirty something professional woman who gave birth to my daughter, who I affectionately refer to as Fluffybum, earlier this year.  As for most mums, it was love at first sight and I have been trying my best to nurture and protect my cute little bundle ever since.

One of the first things I did, once the epidural and new mummy fog had worn off a little, was to move to organic lotions and potions for Fluffybum’s body and, of course, bum.  So it was out with the stockpile of baby products I’d lovingly built during pregnancy and in with the natural/herbal/organic products to fit with my new found eco mummy status.

Not long after that I made the switch to cloth nappies and, despite an initial trepidation, found it has not been nearly so cumbersome or time consuming as I thought it would be.  In fact I shall put my neck on the line here and say that cloth nappies (in general) are almost as easy to use as disposables…

So, 6 months later here Fluffybum and I are with our stash of cloth nappies and our lovely sweet smelling organic baby products and we are ready to share our thoughts and experiences with all the mummies and babies out there.  We’d love to hear what you think too and hope you will join us for the journey.

Love, My Organic Baby 2012 and Fluffybum x
